Cameron receives UF Health Cancer Center Predoctoral Award

Congratulations to Miles Cameron, BS, BM, on receiving the UF Health Cancer Center Predoctoral Award. Cameron was among six recipients who received the award at the center’s Research Day on January 11. 

This award recognizes and supports outstanding predoctoral candidates who are conducting innovative cancer research and allots a total of $10,00 to the recipient for one year to go towards lab supplies and student travel expenses.

Cameron presented his research on the “Identification of Mechanisms and a Novel Therapeutic Intervention to Counter Cancer Associated Cachexia.” Andrew Judge, PhD, professor in the Department of Physical Therapy, serves as Cameron’s mentor.
