In September, Sarah Skinner, MS, published her first first-author manuscript in Cells. The article, “Mitochondrial Permeability Transition Causes Mitochondrial Reactive Oxygen Species- and Caspase 3-Dependent Atrophy of Single Adult Mouse Skeletal Muscle Fibers,” includes research that form part of her dissertation work.

More recently, another first-author manuscript, “Variation in muscle and neuromuscular junction morphology between atrophy-resistant and atrophy-prone muscles supports failed re-innervation in aging muscle atrophy,” was accepted for publication in Experimental Gerontology.
