Rodriguez named one of PHHP’s 2018 Outstanding Alumni

The UF College of Public Health and Health Professions announced the PHHP Outstanding Alumni for 2018, including RSD alumna, Amy Rodriguez, PhD. She will be honored at the ceremony during the college’s reunion on September 8.

RSD Alumna, Amy Rodriguez, named one of the PHHP 2018 Outstanding AlumniDr. Rodriguez, doctorate in rehabilitation science ’10, is a research health scientist in the Center for Visual and Neurocognitive Rehabilitation at the Atlanta VA Medical Center. Her research focuses on the development of neuroplasticity-based interventions to improve language function in aging and aphasia. She is investigating the potential for using physical exercise and non-invasive brain stimulation as treatment adjuvants. She has also contributed to the development, implementation and evaluation of intensive comprehensive aphasia programs, as well as the development and evaluation of mobile technology to assess and promote communicative participation.
