RSD student, Kavya Kamalamma, won a $400 travel award at the 13th Annual Neuromuscular Plasticity Symposium in March. Out of 52 competing posters, her research project, Characterization of walking performance and prediction of loss of ambulation in Duchenne muscular dystrophy, was one of four graduate student posters to win a travel award.
