Lauren Tabor, current Rehabilitation Science student, recently published two book chapters based on her expertise on the area of neurodegenerative disease and swallowing. The first chapter, “Manual 7 Living with ALS: Adjusting to Swallowing Difficulty”, was written for a patient education perspective. The second, “Neurodegenerative Disease” was written for a graduate level textbook titled Dysphagia. Both chapters were written with her mentor, Dr. Emily Plowman and based on research they are completing in the Neurormotor Speech and Swallowing Restoration Laboratory.
