Meryl Alappattu, DPT, PhD, was recently elected to the position of Director of Research for the American Physical Therapy Association’s Section on Women’s Health. The Director of Research oversees all research activities of the Section on Women’s Health, including grant submissions and research recognitions, and works with the Foundation for Physical Therapy and other groups to increase funding to promote research in women’s and men’s health. Additionally, the Director works closely with the Editorial Board of the Journal of Women’s Health Physical Therapy to improve the visibility and quality of rehabilitative research in women’s and men’s health.
