You should meet with your initial faculty advisor during your first semester of study to develop a Degree Plan. The UF requires that students form a supervisory committee by the end of their second semester, or the end of the term in which they accumulate 12 or more credit hours. Your initial faculty advisor may be the chair of your supervisory committee, or you may select, in collaboration with the faculty, a different RSD Graduate Faculty member. You must meet with the chair of your supervisory at least once each semester to review your Degree Plan, and make appropriate revisions. A copy of the revised Plan must be kept on file with your faculty advisor and the Director of the Ph.D. program.
