RSD Students Win Best Paper Awards

Adam Beharry receives the RSD Outstanding Paper Award

The RSD program honored two students with Outstanding Paper Awards at the College of Public Health and Health Professions Convocation on May 2nd. Students were nominated by faculty mentors and had to be a first or primary author on the paper being considered.

The students and winning papers for 2013-2014 were;

Roy Coronado for his article “Experimental pain responses support peripheral and central sensitization in patients with unilateral shoulder pain” appearing in the Clinical Journal of Pain.

Adam Beharry for his article “HDAC1 activates FoxO and is both sufficient and required for skeletal muscle atrophy” appearing in the Journal of Cell Science.
